Symbol-VM v0.4 — Cross-Model Fingerprints presents a model-agnostic behavioral test for examining how frontier LLMs respond to decorative-symbol formatting constraints. These symbols carry no semantic meaning. Five models—ChatGPT, Gemini, Mistral, Claude, and Grok—produced distinct and repeatable symbolic sequences (“symbolic fingerprints”) when asked the same questions.
