Fatherhood 2003

An online survey on fatherhood, conducted by a Finnish newspaper just before the Father's Day in 2003. The main themes were the respondents' relationship with their own children and father. The respondents were asked, for instance, what activities they did with their children, whether they felt they had learned anything from their children and whether they had punished them. The same questions were asked about the respondent's father. In addition, the respondents were asked to describe the best memory they had of their father and what they would have liked to say to their father at the time of the survey. There were 638 respondents. Background variables included the respondent's gender, age, municipality of residence, profession/education, and whether R himself had children or not. The dataset is only available in Finnish.
