资源简介:
The 2014 Lowy Institute Poll is the tenth annual poll conducted by the Lowy Institute in Australia on public opinion and foreign policy. For this year’s poll, market research company I-view conducted a total of 1,150 interviews between 12 February and 27 February 2014 by mobile and fixed telephone, with a sample designed to be nationally representative of all Australians 18 years and older. A number of the questions in the Poll were asked in previous polls, or have been adapted from questions in those polls which allows for comparison over time. The questions in the 2014 Poll probed feelings towards a range of (21) nations, attitudes to Chinese investment and China as a military threat, which of six countries in Asia was Australia’s ‘best friend in Asia’, alliance with the US, attitudes to the intelligence practices of the Australian government, relations with Indonesia, climate change, asylum seeker policy, population and immigration, attitudes to democracy, republic and international standing, foreign investment, overseas aid, various world leaders, and a range of threats to Australia’s vital interests.
