Genome-wide CRISPR screen identifies tumor cell genes that modulate killing by CD8+ T cells

While immunotherapies have transformed the treatment of cancer, the full spectrum of molecular mechanisms that control tumor cell sensitivity to T cell killing remain to be fully characterized. To systematically identify tumor cell genes/pathways that modulate tumor cell sensitivity to T cell killing, we performed a pooled genome-wide CRISPR/Cas9 knockout screen in murine MC38 colon adenocarcinoma cells to identify tumor cell genes that are required for, or limit, T cell killing.
