This study sought to investigate the role and mechanism of SHCBP1 in tumorigenesis of ductal carcinoma. We generate a global Shcbp1 knockout mice and introduced Shcbp1 deletion into MMTV-PyMT mice, which spontaneously develop mammary ductal tumors. We found that Shcbp1 knockout in transgenic mice profoundly impedes tumor progression, metastasis and prolongs survival. To investigate the molecular characteristics associated with SHCBP1 deficiency in ductal carcinoma, we performed RNA-sequence of tumors derived from PyMT;Shcbp1+/+ and PyMT;Shcbp1-/- mice, and analyzed the related signaling pathways with SHCBP1 knockout.
