Gardenia jasminoides Ellis is a Chinese herbal medicine with medicinal and economic value, but the mechanism of its response to drought stress is still unclear. Endogenous hormones of gardenia not only regulate the growth and development of gardenia, maintain the homeostasis, but also play a role in signal transduction, and adapt to stress through the balance between different endogenous hormones. At the same time, gardenia had 12842, 5576, and 20137 differentially expressed genes on the 5th, 10th, and 15th days of drought stress, respectively.
