Tenacibaculum maritimum causes losses to finfish aquaculture worldwide including salmon industry in Australia and New Zealand. Comparative genomics may facilitate development of vaccines against T. maritimum and provide insights into its pathogenicity. In this study we generated thirty-six complete genomes and thirty-six draft genomes of T. maritimum isolates from Oceania, as well as three genomes of the overseas reference strains - Baxa-lyl1 (draft), NCIMB 2154 (complete), and NCIMB 2158 (complete).
