How the Built Environment Shapes Women's Employment Intentions in Platform Work: Nonlinear and Counterfactual Evidence from China

This repository provides supporting materials for the manuscript “How the Built Environment Shapes Women’s Employment Intentions in Platform Work: Nonlinear and Counterfactual Evidence from China”. It includes analysis code, variable documentation, data-processing procedures, statistical formulas, anonymized demonstration samples, and summary output files supporting the empirical workflow reported in the manuscript. The repository covers indicator construction, data transformation, baseline model estimation, SHAP-based interpretation, nonlinear analysis, counterfactual simulation, and robustness checks. To illustrate the transformation from raw social media comments to structured analytical variables, some anonymized raw-comment examples and their corresponding processed variable records are provided. These files are demonstration samples only and are not the full empirical dataset used for model estimation. Due to data confidentiality and privacy protection requirements, the full individual-level raw social media data are not publicly available. The repository instead provides anonymized demonstration samples, variable definitions, processing documentation, analysis scripts, and summary outputs to support methodological review and computational transparency.This dataset is shared for academic research purposes.
