资源简介:
An incomplete lead alloy ampulla of Medieval dating (AD 1250 to AD 1500). The ampulla consists of a square shaped neck, with a flat circular shaped base. The neck has an open square shaped hole at the top. The two attachment loops are present at the shoulder between the neck and the base and have been squashed against the neck of the vessel. The design on the front of the ampulla is a quartered shield design, with a pellet in each quarter. A vertical line is present centrally. The back of the ampulla bears the traditional scallop shell, formed from emanting ribs. The scallop shell represents pilgrimage and St James of Compostela. This ampulla has been recorded by the Portable Antiquities Scheme. The full record can be viewed online at: https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/1051032 Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
