High cadence vertical drift campaigns 2017/297 , 2023/079

This dataset contains high-cadence ionospheric measurements from two observation campaigns conducted at the Průhonice ionospheric observatory (Czech Republic) on 24 October 2017 (Campaign I) and 20 March 2023 (Campaign II). The measurements were carried out using a Digisonde-4D system and include: SKY files, which contain detected ionospheric echo points along with associated Doppler shifts. These allow for the derivation of vertical plasma drift velocities using appropriate analysis techniques. GRM ionogram files, which provide information on ionospheric stratification and enable indirect estimation of vertical drifts based on the time evolution of height parameters (e.g., h'F, hmF2). The dataset was used for the comparative analysis of vertical ionospheric drifts determined via direct (Doppler) and indirect (ionogram-derived) methods. Each file represents one day of measurements and is provided in its original Digisonde-4D format.
