Stonefly Data for Comparative vulnerability of riverine benthic and aquifer stoneflies as the climate warms

This dataset includes data analyzed in a manuscript titled: "Comparative vulnerability of riverine benthic and aquifer stoneflies as the climate warms," which will be published in the September 2026 issue of Freshwater Science (volume 45, number 3). We measured critical thermal maximum values (CTMAX) and used intermittent respirometry experiments to measure metabolic rates on nymphs of 5 benthic and 3 aquifer stonefly species in western Montana. Individual CTMAX data and mean mass specific and absolute metabolic rates are provided for benthic and aquifer stoneflies (Order: Plecoptera).
