Dataset on nutrient recycling potential in the Baltic Sea Region (Eurostat-based method)

Nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) recycling potential in the Baltic Sea Region (BSR) countries is based on data collection from EU-wide data sources. The countries included in the calculation are the EU member states of the BSR: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden. The data consists of Excel (.xlsx) files covering information on manure, municipal biowaste, municipal sewage sludge, and animal by-products generation. For Germany, data also includes information on grape pomace. Livestock manure data (N and P amounts) is available on NUTS2 level for Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Sweden, and at the NUTS1 level for Germany. Manure data does not include manure from horses and ponies, or from fur animals. Source-separated municipal biowaste and municipal sewage sludge data (mass, N and P amounts) is available at the NUTS2 level for all BSR countries. All biomasses (livestock manure, biowaste, sewage sludge, animal by-products, and grape pomace) are also available at the NUTS0-level for all BSR countries.
