This study aims to determine the long-term effect of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilization on soil-borne arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi. The experiment was located in Pergamino, Argentina, and was initiated in 2006. Samples were taken during maize crop season in 2019 at two times: vegetative and early reproductive stages. Rhizosphere samples were taken for DNA extraction and sequencing (18S rRNA) by Illumina Miseq.
