Obligate marine bacterium isolated at a depth of 3500 meters from the Urania Basin. Alteromonas mediterranea

Alteromonas macleodii 'Deep ecotype'. Alteromonas macleodii 'Deep ecotype' was isolated from seawater obtained at a depth of 3500 meters from the Urania Basin in the Mediterranean Sea by plating. The genome sequence of this isolate will be useful in understanding barophilic adaptation in bacteria.
