Different developmental stages of Dermanyssus gallinae (unfed protonymph, fed protonymph, fed deutonymph, fed adults, and dissected adult midguts were obtained from mite traps located in International Poultry Testing (MTD) Ustrasice in egg-laying hens housing. Mites were sorted and homogenised for whole body RNA extraction and midgut RNA extraction. Each RNA extract originates from at least 30 mites. Non-stranded libraries were prepared and sequenced on NovaSeq 6000 system (Illumina).
