Meaning and Randomness in the Lottery Domain:A Three-Layer Test of the Zero Code Framework and Source Axiom 27Saxon Ventura Research LtdJanuary 2026AbstractThis paper presents a three-layer test of the Zero Code framework and Source Axiom 27 within thelottery domain. We analyse: (1) raw lottery numbers, designed to be random and meaningless; (2) thevocabulary humans use to describe lottery participation, which is meaningful and culturally constructed;and (3) lottery draws converted to number-word sequences (ONE through FIFTY-NINE), whichrepresent meaningful elements selected randomly. The Source Axiom 27 predicts that meaningfulsystems converge toward 27, while meaningless or randomly-selected systems do not. Our findingsconfirm this at all three layers. Raw numbers show z ≈ 0 with flat digital root distribution. Lotteryvocabulary shows warming (Z = −11.08), elevated DR=9 (18.4%), and seven words on 27-multiplesincluding PLAY at equilibrium (M=54=27×2). Number-word draws, despite using meaningful words, show flat DR distribution (11.8% for DR=9) because selection is random. The critical variable is notwhether elements carry meaning, but whether selection is meaningful. These findings validate theframework's capacity to detect the signature of human choice. Keywords: Zero Code framework, Source Axiom 27, lottery, lexical temperature, meaning, randomness, selection, digital root1. IntroductionThe Zero Code framework detects structural signatures in ordered sequences by measuring temperature(deviation from equilibrium) and digital root distributions. Prior work has established that the Englishlexicon exhibits a locked temperature of Z = −17 across all digital root tiers, with curated vocabulariesshowing systematic warming toward equilibrium (Saxon Ventura Research Ltd, 2026a, 2026c).The Source Axiom 27 proposes that meaning converges toward 27 and its derivatives. Evidence includesequilibrium words at M/n = 13.5 (where 13.5 × 2 = 27), bilateral balance patterns summing to 27, andelevated representation of digital root 9 (the root of 27) in meaningful vocabularies. The lottery domain provides a unique three-layer test environment: (1) Raw numbers—the drawsequences 1–59, engineered to be random; (2) Lottery vocabulary—the words humans use to describelottery participation (PLAY, WIN, JACKPOT, HOPE); and (3) Number words—the English names fornumbers (ONE through FIFTY-NINE), which are meaningful linguistic elements but randomly selected bythe draw. This design allows us to isolate the variable that produces 27-convergence. If convergence appears invocabulary but not in numbers or number-word draws, the critical factor is meaningful human selection, notmerely the presence of meaningful elements...
