资源简介:
Here we provide the dataset (WTsystem_dataset_cost&time.txt) generated from the cost-function adapted from Gálvez et al. (2016), to assess the cost-benefit of using a wireless transmission system from Cuddeback that allows camera traps to communicate and relay information to a receiver device. Also, the dataset of events recorded in a field test to assess the performance of solar-powered camera traps compared to battery-powered camera traps. For each event we indicate if the event was detected by the battery-powered camera, solar-powered camera or both, and the species/object detected. The dataset also incudes 5 covariates: a categorical variable characterizing the camera's FOV (Open, Shrubby, Road), the Type of object detected (Human, Livestock, Vehicle, Wildlife), the size of the object (Large, Medium, Small), the study Area where the field test was conducted (HRA or CL) and the number of Days between the camera's deployment and the event occurred. Finally, we provide the R code for the cost-function adapted from Gálvez et al. (2016), for the case of the wireless transmission system (from Cuddeback) tested in the field.
