To establish an expression profile of Nitrogen Mustard (NM) exposure-induced genes in healthy human skin and effect of VitD intervention. We further characterized a distinct intervention-independent response type in half of subjects after the 2nd NM exposure Overall design: Differential expression analysis of bulk RNA-seq data from punch biopsies taken at 4 time points: Baseline, 72hrs post 1st NM-exposure, 72hrs post 2nd NM-exposure, and 6wks post 2nd NM-exposure, in 28 healthy patients, with 2 patients refusing the 4th punch biopsy resulting in n=110 samples. 14 patients were randomized to receive oral VitD 4 hours after initiation of 2nd NM exposure.
