Attalea chloroplast genome assembly

This project aims to assemble, annotate, and analyze four chloroplast genomes of Attalea basslerian, Attalea maripa, Attalea moorei, and Attalea polysticha. To this end, total DNA was extracted and sequenced from the Attalea specimen using Illumina methodology. The generated reads were filtered to retain only chloroplast DNA, which was used to assemble the chloroplast genome of the species. This genome was annotated using gene prediction and analyzed to compare its information with that of other chloroplast genomes of related species.
