资源简介:
The tammar wallaby (Notamacropus eugenii) is a small macropod marsupial native to South and Western Australia. The tammar wallaby population was severely reduced in Australia since European colonization, it was introduced to New Zealand and then reintroduced to some areas of Australia where it had been previously eradicated (from Wikipedia entry). This sample is from a male in New Zealand, in the Waimangu thermal area, managed by Manaaki Whenua Landcare Research. The sample was procured by Andrew Veale and used to generate a high-quality reference genome for the Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP). Sequencing and genome assembly were conducted at the Vertebrate Genomes Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, led by Olivier Fedrigo and Erich D. Jarvis.
