资源简介:

Grave of Ada Christen at the Evangelical Cemetery Matzleinsdorf in Vienna's 10th district. The Austrian writer Ada Christen (1839-1901) was born as Christiane Rosalia Friederik, daughter of the Viennese merchant Johann Friederik and his wife Christine. Until her father was sentenced to several years in prison for his involvement in the revolution of 1848, Christen grew up in prosperity. She now had to earn her living independently, first as a flower girl and seamstress, then as a member of a travelling theatre, and from 1855 to 1858 she acted at the Meidling Theatre. Later she tried to earn her living as a writer under the pseudonym Ada Christen. For example, she wrote the poetry collection Lieder einer Verlorenen (Songs of a Lost One), which achieved a high circulation due to its erotic frankness and social indictment. In 1968, Ada-Christen-Gasse in Vienna was named after her. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
