Triacylglycerol in rice seeds accumulates rapidly 5-15 days after flowering, and 10 days after flowering is often considered to be a period of high expression of genes associated with lipid synthesis. It has been reported that lipid metabolites in tetraploid rice seeds are highly expressed. To this end, transcriptomic analysis of diploid and tetraploid rice seeds 10 and 15 days after flowering was performed to uncover key genes regulating lipid metabolism.
