Conventional agriculture increases global warming while decreasing system sustainability

The global warming potential (GWP) of production of main crops (maize, wheat, and rice) and the related system sustainability during the time span of 1961-2020. The GWP included the production, packaging, transportation and application of agricultural inputs (fertilizers, seeds and pesticides). The emissions of soil and plant due to fertilization and tillage are included, in addition to the emissions of machinery, irrigation and harvesting. The file contains also Source data of Figures and Extended Figures. The Code and Readme files are for maps drawing in R package.
