100-m resolution surface soil moisture data during the thawing season on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau

Based on Sentinel-1&2 and measured SM data, we developed an SM retrieval algorithm for the ascending and descending orbits. Then, 100-m-resolution SM spatial data were generated for the thawing season of 2017–2023 in the SAR signal-applicable area on the QTP. The soil moisture spatial dataset is saved in GeoTiff format; The naming convention is "SM"+"year"+"A (ascending orbit)/D (descending orbit)", for example, SM_2017_A, which represents the soil moisture obtained by using the ascending orbit algorithm to invert the thawing season in 2017. In addition, We published in situ monitoring data and soil moisture sampling data during the thawing season in the QTP, as well as photographs of the sampling environments.
