资源简介:
Within-subject clinical responses to either inhaled corticosteroids or Montelukast were compared in 126 children with mild to moderate asthma.]]>
TOPMed Whole Genome Sequencing Methods: Freeze 9TOPMed Whole Genome Sequencing Methods: Freeze 10The children had mild to moderate asthma. Children 6 to 17 years of age with mild-to-moderate asthma were enrolled. They had asthma symptoms or rescue bronchodilator use on average of 3 or more days per week during the previous 4 weeks and improvement in FEV1 of 12% or greater after maximal bronchodilation or methacholine PC20 of 12.5 mg/mL or less. They had no corticosteroid treatment within 4 weeks, no leukotriene-modifying agents within 2 weeks, and no history of respiratory tract infection within 4 weeks of enrollment. Children were excluded for severe asthma or FEV1 of less than 70% of predicted value. The study was approved by each center's institutional review board. A parent/guardian gave informed consent, with verbal assent given by children less than 7 years of age, and written assent given by older children.]]>
