Deaths in Romania in 2014, by cause

This statistic displays the number of deaths in Romania in 2014, by cause. During this year approximately 243 thousand individuals died as a result of cardiovascular disease, cancer, injuries and poisonings. Ischaemic heart disease was the leading cause of death among males and females accounting for approximately 25.5 thousand male death and 25.2 thousand female deaths. Stroke was the second largest killer accounting for around 44.7 thousand deaths in total.
