Annual Programme of Research by the Zoological Survey of India, Kolkata. Genetic analysis of Vertebrates

This study was a conducted as a part of the approved Annual Programme of Research by the Zoological Survey of India, Kolkata. The goal was to conduct exploratory surveys in eastern Arunachal Pradesh using sign surveys, camera trapping, and non-invasive genetics to investigate the populations of the White Cheeked Macaque and other Trans-boundary species of large mammals between India and China. We collected tissue samples of various ungulates from the hunting trophies obtained from local households in the Anjaw district during the survey. These sequences were the outcome of the survey.
