Bacterial succession in the European earwigs and the influence of maternal care after hatching. Forficula auricularia

This study aims to describe the bacterial succession across life span of the European earwig (Forficula auricularia) and to investigate whether maternal presence during family life may influence on the offspring's bacteriomes. This species is a paurometabolous insect in which we sampled the six developmental stages : eggs, L1, L2, L3, L4 and adults, with male and females. Among these samples L1 and adults had experienced a family life with maternal care or not.
