This study provides a detailed characterization and quantification of leukocortical perivascular spaces (PVS) in the gray-white matter interface using ultra-high-field 7 T MRI, establishing a foundation for investigating regional cortical PVS alterations and their potential relevance for the diagnosis and prognosis of neurological diseases. Attached dataset includes MRI scans from 17 healthy participants acquired for the study of PVS at 7 T. A high-resolution T2-weighted 3D turbo spin-echo (TSE) sequence was specifically optimized to maximize cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)–to–tissue CNR while minimizing residual tissue signal. High-resolution MP2RAGE images (INV1, INV2, and UNI) were acquired to enable segmentation of white matter, gray matter, and cortical regions. A FLAIR sequence was additionally obtained to identify potential white-matter hyperintensities and lacunes that could confound PVS detection. To assess measurement reliability, repeat retest scans were acquired in a subset of seven participants and are included in the dataset.
