The SpaceParts Co dataset is a free dataset provided by Tabular Editor It was built from the ground up by defining the business rules and process for a fictional company that sells spaceship parts (gotta make it fun, right?). The dataset resembles a result that you might see from an order-to-cash SAP module.

**Use cases**

The dataset has been provided primarily for users to practice using Tabular Editor to build semantic models. But you can use it for a so much more, such as:

- Writing and optimizing DAX code
- Transforming data in Power Query
- Visualizing data effectively in a Power BI report
- Learning to use Databricks features such as AI/BI

**Product details**

The SpaceParts dataset provides information about sales, profitability, and supply chain demand planning. It includes features such as the below:

- 12 tables: 4 fact tables and 8-dimension tables
- Currency conversion in multiple rates
- Trends that differ by region, customer, and product groups
- Hierarchies for regions, customers, and products
- Personally identifiable information for the (fictional) Spaceparts employees
- Security rules to set up Data Security
- Subtle data quality issues, exceptions, or anomalies to find if performing standard QA/QC
