Winter phytoplankton pigment concentrations measured by HPLC in the upper 150m of the Indian Southern Ocean along the 30°E transect (GEOTRACES GIpr07) during 2017

Depth profiles of phytoplankton photosynthetic pigment concentrations were collected during the Winter 2017 scientific cruise from June to July 2017 on board the SA Agulhas II in the Indian sector of the Southern Ocean along the 30°E longitude between South Africa and Antarctica. Discrete seawater samples, for chlorophyll-a and accessory pigment analysis, were taken at depths from 10-150m from Niskin bottles on a CTD rosette. Filtered samples were later analysed by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) at Laboratoire d'Océanographie de Villefranche (LOV – CNRS) according to Ras et al. 2008 (doi:10.5194/bg-5-353-2008).
