Gene expression in gastrocnemius muscle in response to calorie restriction in wildtype and Sirt3 knockout mice

The effect of calorie restriction from two to 12 months of age was evaluated in gastrocnemius muscle in both wildtype mice as well as Sirt3 knockout mice The dietary intervention was initiated at 2 months of age and continued until 12 months of age Tissues were collected from mice at 12 months of age; there were 15 microarrays used in total: gene expression was measured in 3 control-fed wildtype, 4 calorie restricted wildtype mice, 4 control-fed Sirt3 knockout mice, and 4 calorie restricted Sirt3 knockout mice (one individual mouse per microarray)
