Transcriptome profiling of gingival epithelial cells response to IRF1 silencing using RNA-seq

Understanding the role of IRF1 on gingival epithelial cell (GEC) responses using RNA-seq In order to understand the role of IRF1 on GECs responses, telomerase immortalized gingival keratinocytes were transfected with either siRNA against IRF1 transcript (siIRF1) or scramble siRNA (SCR). Furthermore, TIGKs were stimulated with HSV60, followed by RNA-seq. There were four groups: SCR NI, SCR HSV, siIRF1 NI and siIRF1 HSV. Within each group there were 4-5 separate replicates. Total RNA was purified from the TIGKs and differential expression analysis was performed to compare and profile the transcriptome.
