Telomerase is a crucial ribonucleoprotein complex that maintains chromosome ends post DNA-replication. At time of sequencing, the telomerase RNA that is critical for Telomerase activity had not been identified in plants. We utilized Telomerase Reverse Transcriptase (TERT) and Protector of Telomeres Protein 1 (POT1A) antibodies to purify the telomerase complex from Arabidopsis thaliana seedlings, flowers, and cell culture.
