资源简介:
Data underlying an observational study of the prevalence of overgrooming-related self-injury in individually housed rats and the effect of providing nesting material enrichment on the severity of associated lesions.
In Figure S1, we also show that individual housing of rats is prevalent in neuroscience research. We examined the research articles published in the Journal of Neuroscience in 2017 because the Journal of Neuroscience is the top neuroscience journal by eigenfactor. We found that for papers that reported using rats and reported housing conditions, approximately 55% used individual housing during experiments.
