To review the impacts of land use and climate changes on streamflow, a comprehensive scientific literature search was conducted using various search engines including ‘web of science’, ‘Scopus’ and ‘Google Scholar’. The keywords used for the search are: “land use change”, “land cover change”, “land use/cover change”, “LULC change”, “climate change”, “streamflow”, “runoff”, “discharge”, “water yield”, ‘water resources”, and “hydrology”. Scopus was chosen for this search because it provides an extensive collection of high-quality scientific publications across multiple disciplines, ensuring access to a diverse and relevant set of peer-reviewed studies. Additionally, Scopus’s advanced search capabilities and indexing features allow for more precise and efficient filtering of articles compared to other databases. The literature was screened based on the following criteria: (1) joint impact of both land use change and climate change on streamflow; (2) quantitative information about changes in land use, precipitation and temperature, and streamflow or water yield; (3) all the above changes can be expressed as annual average percentage changes; and (4) information about the major land use transition. Additionally, other information such as region, Köppen-Geiger climate zone, catchment area, time period, source of climate, and land use data were also collected.
