Optimization of 5G RAN network slicing based on auction models

We propose a novel two-level hierarchical auctionmodel for 5G RAN network slicing that enables efficientand financially-aware resource allocation among Mobile Net-work Operators (MNOs), Mobile Virtual Network Operators(MVNOs), and end users. Unlike prior models that focusprimarily on minimizing raw resource usage, our approachintegrates a realistic cost framework\u2014including electricitypricing and resale bidding fees\u2014into the optimization process.Each level solves a Winner Determination Problem (WDP)using Integer Linear Programming (ILP) and scalable heuristicalgorithms, with Vickrey\u2013Clarke\u2013Groves (VCG) pricing toensure fairness and incentive compatibility for bidders. Sim-ulations across varied network topologies and dynamic trafficconditions show that our model consistently improves socialwelfare, reduces power costs, and supports robust scalabilitywhile meeting diverse requirements.
