The large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea) is one of the most important economically maricultured fish species in China, and Pseudomonas plecoglossicida is one of the most important pathogens to P. crocea. Its pathogenic mechanism has not been fully elucidated. LexA is a bacterial repressor protein that has been found to be involved in the pathogenic effects of bacteria in recent years, but the underlying mechanism is unclear. The present study compares the gene expression model of wild type and lexA-RNAi P. plecoglossicida, hopes to investigate the function of LexA in P. plecoglossicida virulence regulation.
