1L. maculans ascospores obtained from naturally infected oilseed rape stem base debris collected in August 2007; conidia were produced by GFP-transformed isolate ME24/3.13.2Plants were inoculated when they had three fully expanded leaves. All experiments were done at 20°C with alternating 12 h light/12 h darkness.3The lesion area was estimated by multiplying the lesion length by lesion width.
