Carrot callus grown on media with different nitrogen composition

In this study carotenoid-rich carrot callus was grown on two types of media, control (BI+) and with high nitrogen content (BI/R; 2x total N and 10x ammonium content) for two months. Samples from this callus were subjected to a transcriptome sequencing to find out how increased nitrogen affects expression of carotenoid biosynthesis related genes.
