Transcriptional changes in mouse lungs induced by house dust mite

We examined the transcriptional changes in mouse lungs induced by house dust mite (HDM), D.f. extract and the isolated RNA was utilized for RNA-seq analysis. Our results demonstrated that HDM strongly triggered an inflammatory response. Overall design: Total RNA was isolated from the lung of wild type or TLR3MAVS double knockout mice that were treated with PBS or HDM (D.f.) extract for 14-16 hours. Illumina TruSeq RNA Sample Preparation was performed following manufacturer's protocol. Samples were run on an Illumina HiSeq 3000 . Sequenced reads were trimmed for adaptor sequence, and masked for low-complexity or low-quality sequence, then mapped to mm9 whole genome using TopHat v2.0.8b. Genes were annotated and quantified by HTSeq-DESeq pipeline.
