Microbial communities of Lake Baikal and their metabolic potential in areas with elevated concentration of organic matters of natural and anthropogenic origin

Comprehensive studies are done in river waters and zones of river and lake waters mixing in March and July, 2018. Studies are carried out in areas of mass tourism and sewage waters discharge of recently closed Baikal Pulp and Paper Mill (BPPM), at two background pelagic stations on east and west coast of Lake Baikal and also in a site of shallow methane seep.
