Paraclostridium benzoelyticum strain:YGCA10 Genome sequencing

Etoliko Lagoon, located in Western Greece, is an extreme environment characterized by a lack of oxygen, high sulfate concentrations, and a permanent thermocline separating the water column. Despite these conditions, the lagoon supports a diverse range of microbes, including putative new bacterial and archaeal phyla. To study this diversity omics teqnologies were used. Among others whole genome sequencing was deployed in solid cultures that were incubated in anaerobic conditions.
