As of August 2020, Camila Giorgi was the Italian female tennis player registering the highest score in the WTA Race To Shenzhen Leaderboard ranking, recording a total of 382 points.As specified by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), the WTA Rankings and the Porsche Race to Shenzhen Leaderboard points are the same, however calculated in a different way. In fact, the WTA Rankings takes into account the players' best tournament results over the preceding 52 weeks. On the other hand, the Porsche Race to Shenzhen Leaderboard is based on the results of a single year. In 2020, due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the WTA Race To Shenzhen Leaderboard was cancelled.
