High-temperature stress can substantially limit the growth, development, yield, and quality of garlic.Hormone signaling underlies plant responses to stress, but little is known about the molecular mechanisms by which hormone synthesis and signaling participate in the responses of garlic to heat stress. Here, we documented changes in the contents of seven plant hormones and the expression of related genes in leaves of garlic exposed to heat stress. These findings provide a basis for functional validation of key hormone-related genes in the garlic heat-stress response and suggest potential genetic targets for the development of heat-tolerant garlic varieties.
