资源简介:
The Bowen Basin Community Residents Survey was conducted to investigate levels of social capital amongst Bowen Basin residents, their levels of life satisfaction and their attachment to and involvement in the towns in which they live. The broader role of this survey was to provide information to the Bowen Basin Communities Partnership Project, which was an initiative developed to respond to community change and instability that has occurred in mining dependent towns due to structural changes in the mining industry. The key variable groups cover life satisfaction indicators, sentiments of trust and reciprocity, assessments of community strength and stability, community attachment, satisfaction with services, initial decision to live in the town and intention to relocate and reasons for this. Background variables include age, gender, marital status, number of children, location (in Bowen Basin Shires), type of household, children's education, employment status, field of employment, partner's field of employment, and length of time lived in the area.
