At66, a new ressource of 173 genomes of Arabidopsis thaliana from Eastern Pyrenees, France

The department of Pyrenees-Orientales in the Occitanie region of France has a very interesting topography from the Mediterranean sea to the Pyrenees and no natural population of Arabidopsis thaliana was previously sampled there. In this study, we report the genomic resource of 173 individuals harvested from 6 localities (Mas Larrieu, Massane, Mosset, Py1000, Mantet and Py1900) subdivided in 23 sampling sites (named PO01-23) and constituting a new collection named At66 (for Arabidopsis thaliana 66, this number being the reference for the Pyrénées-Orientales department (PO) in the French administrative system). At66 ranges from 0 to 1900 m of altitude at a micro-geographic scale, combines a diversity of habitats and environmental conditions and completes existing natural populations of the Pyrenees in France and across the border between France and Spain.
