A dataset of ecosystem flux measurements in a shrubland ecosystem of the Mau Us Desert in Yanchi, Ningxia, China (2012–2016)

Data processing steps mainly included data collection, post-processing of raw data, quality control, gap-filling and carbon flux partitioning. We produced flux and micro-meteorological datasets at half-hourly, daily, monthly, and annual temporal resolutions for the years 2012–2016. This dataset includes net ecosystem CO2 exchange (NEE), gross primary productivity (GPP), ecosystem respiration (Re), latent heat fluxes (LE) and sensible heat fluxes (Hs) and relative micro-meteorological factors. The datasets have a high proportion of valid data and a reasonable energy balance closure, and the detailed analyzed results were presented in the relevant data paper (accepted by the Chinese Journal of Plant Ecology, doi: 10.17521/cjpe.2023.0001). This dataset can support for assessing and predicting the carbon and water balance and its relationship with environmental factors in arid and semi-arid regions, also can be used for optimizing and validating site scale ecosystem models, as well as for integrating research on shrub and grassland ecosystems in arid and semi-arid regions. This dataset folders named "data of flux measurements" and "data of meteorological measurements". Each folder is divided into "half-hour.xlsx", "daily.xlsx", "monthly.xlsx", and "yearly.xlsx" according to the time scale. There are 8 ".xlsx" files in total, and each Excel file is divided into 5 sheets by year.
