Chronicles of Juvenile Justice: A Comprehensive Compendium of Legal Judgments Under the Juvenile Justice Act (1986-2024)

The Juvenile Justice Act of 1986, plays an important role in resolving legal intricacies which involve the attribution of minors in India. The act emphasizes rehabilitation and reintegration of such individuals into society rather than using punitive legal measures upon them. In this dataset, we have scraped all the apex and high court documentation that has mentioned compliance with the JJ Act to render judgment. We turned to eCourts India Services to scrape the relevant judgements, by engineering a custom Python script using Selenium. This dataset aims to help upcoming studies to analyze chronological legal trends of Juvenile Justice using language processing techniques. It covers the corpora that have been publicly available from the year 1986 to 2024 Q3.
