Hard shoreline structure inventory for states along the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts

To support the development of more accurate hurricane coastal impact models, we created a dataset containing an inventory of information sources of hard shoreline structures — including seawalls, groins, bulkheads, and breakwaters — for each U.S. state along the Gulf of America and Atlantic coasts. The shoreline structure inventory was developed initially from internet searches of open data sources and then added to based on feedback from individual state agencies that we reached out to via email.
